Warranty Policy

AOKI Mobility is dedicated to providing a superior, transparent, and seamlessly supported ownership experience. This policy outlines the standardized framework for after-sales support, warranty coverage parameters, service eligibility, and essential customer responsibilities. By adhering to these guidelines, owners ensure the longevity, peak performance, and sustained value of their AOKI electric bicycles.

1. Mandatory Warranty Registration

To activate warranty coverage, timely online registration is strictly required.

• Actionable Step: Customers must register their E-Bike online at www.aoki.co.in within 60 days (2 months) of taking delivery.

• Required Documentation: A valid proof of purchase (tax invoice upload) and the vehicle's unique Chassis Serial Number are mandatory during registration.

• Compliance Protocol: All warranty activations remain subject to internal verification. Failure to complete registration within the stipulated 60-day timeframe will result in the automatic termination of warranty coverage.

2. Standard Warranty Coverage

AOKI Mobility provides comprehensive coverage against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, provided the vehicle remains unmodified and is operated under standard conditions.

Note: Customers are entitled to one complimentary labor service (1st Service: 3 Months / 1,000 km) exclusively during the warranty period. All replaced consumables, wear items, and subsequent maintenance visits are chargeable.

Major Assembly Coverage Matrix

• Main Frame (Aluminum Alloy): Lifetime coverage for original purchaser against structural welds and frame fatigue under normal riding.

• Main Frame (Standard / Steel): 5 Years coverage against structural integrity and weld defects.

• Lithium-Ion Battery Pack: 2 Years (24 Months) or 30,000 km against manufacturing defects and capacity retention.

• Rear Hub Motor: 2 Years (24 Months) covering internal motor windings, stator, and hall sensors.

• Electronic Controller & Display Unit: 1 Year (12 Months) covering electronic circuit failures (excludes moisture and tampering).

• Mechanical Components (Gears and Shifters): 6 Months against manufacturing defects only (excludes normal wear and tear).

3. Battery Warranty & Maintenance Protocols

The lithium-ion battery represents the core power unit of your vehicle. Coverage spans 24 months, 30,000 kilometers, or designated charge cycle limits, whichever occurs first.

Operating Guidelines

• Natural Capacity Degradation: Gradual loss of capacity over time (retaining 70% or more capacity during the warranty period) is a normal characteristic of lithium chemistry and does not constitute a defect.

• Mandatory Cell Balancing: To keep the battery warranty active, owners must have a Battery Health and Cell Balancing inspection conducted at an authorized AOKI service centre every 6 months or 500 km (whichever occurs earlier).

• Immediate Warranty Voidance: The battery warranty is strictly voided if non-AOKI chargers are used, the battery casing or BMS is opened or tampered with, the pack is left in a deeply discharged state (0%) for more than 30 consecutive days, or if the unit suffers water ingress due to pressure washing.

4. Express Warranty Exclusions

To maintain absolute clarity, the following conditions, damages, and practices are unequivocally excluded from warranty coverage:

• Display & Controller Tampering: Modifying factory-set speed limiters, wheel diameter parameters, system voltage, or installing third-party tuning kits immediately voids all electrical warranties (Motor, Controller, Display, Battery).

• Water Ingress & Pressure Washing: Water ingress into electrical components (Display, Motor, Battery, Controller, Wiring Harness) resulting from riding in submerged water above the hub, exposure to severe rain without protection, or high-pressure jet washing.

• Consumables & Wear Items: Tires, inner tubes, brake pads, brake cables, drive chains, freewheels, bearings, pedal grips, and kickstands.

• Aesthetic Degradation: Post-delivery paint scratches, stone chips, chemical exposure, rust due to outdoor parking, or sun fading.

• Unauthorized Alterations: Use of non-genuine parts, structural modifications, or repairs executed outside authorized AOKI service centres.

• Abuse & Overloading: Commercial overloading exceeding rated payload capacity, dual-riding on single-seat models, stunt riding, or off-road jumping.

5. Preventive Maintenance Schedule

To retain warranty eligibility and ensure operational safety, customers must adhere to the following maintenance milestones conducted at authorized AOKI service centres:

• Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): On the day of delivery (Full mechanical, brake, and electrical baseline check).

• Online Warranty Registration: Within 60 days of delivery at www.aoki.co.in.

• 1st Service (Complimentary): 3 Months or 1,000 km (General tune-up, brake tuning, spoke tensioning).

• 2nd Service (Periodic Check): 6 Months or 2,000 km (Mandatory Battery Cell Balancing and diagnostics).

• 3rd Service (Periodic Check): 12 Months or 4,000 km (Comprehensive electrical and drivetrain overhaul).

• 4th Service (Periodic Check): 18 Months or 6,000 km (Drivetrain wear inspection and battery diagnostics).

• Subsequent Services: Every 6 Months or 2,000 km (Regular preventative safety inspections).

6. Service Fulfillment Avenues

• Authorized Dealership Network: Customers may visit any authorized AOKI dealership or service centre across India. Standard labor charges apply after the 1st complimentary service.
